this was with the baby bath that I recycled - don't know if the birds will like it. I added stones partly so they could see the bottom, partly to give them somethjng to stand on, and partly to help weigh it down. Maybe it could be better placed - suggestions?

nods, I intend to conceal it a bit more, maybe for now I could move it to the middle of the table and put pots all round it?
*s* i was also thinking about being able to see any visitors!

near a window do you mean?

Well, I meant somewhat in the open so that I could see at a distance, hopefully distant enough not to disturb any bird using it. By a window would be too close to the house - it really doesn't matteer if I see them use it or not, just so long as they do. I don't have any small ferns, except one baby that Bjs very kindly sent me a while ago- so maybe I could surround the bath with plants - it'd have to go on a brick or something, to being it up to "gorund level"

Nice stones you have there! Hope they will put on a fine bathing show for you!

souvenir of an otherwise totally boring weekend at the seaside: hotel for blind people in November, rain, wind, short days; spent most of them on the beach, smoking and nicking stones!
Once they know it's there, they might investigate: I did see a small bird fly up from the big bath several times, but I was too far and it was too small and too fast for me to see it clearly. Hopefully, I'll be able to peer through the window to see without disturbing any users of this one.
