Thank you all...Dawn, I know what you mean. I was saying to Spritz, it would be lovely to have a special area for black flowers, against the white walls of the house. I'm not fond of those black petunias myself..but I like most of the other black things. I wonder if there is a black rose yet?

Sounds nice with a purple stripe Val. I don't care for the plain black or the black and yellow striped one, but then tbh I am not much of an 'annuals' fan generally.

I love black flowers if they are properly combined with other plants....This is a lovely area Karen and the wood burner (?) sets it all off so well..It has a lovely Oriental flavour...:>)

This is my new geranium mag. Rosemoor Annie. I had another ger. magnificum in there last year and it got way too tall. This one is max 60cm which will be fine with the iris next year. However, will it survive the wet I wonder? The Iris will be fine, it likes it boggy...but that border gets so wet when it's like this.....time will tell.
