if you left click on the icon bottom left of your computer you will find a box that will search for things for you, type in character map,

once you have found it you need to look through various font options ~ some have more pictures than others ~ this one is MS PGothic

This is a great shot P - don't know how I missed it yesterday! I got my new phone yesterday and took a couple of beastie shots with it. I'll put them in a wee blog. Not as good as this though but pretty good close - ups.

Search " Character Map "

Then scroll to MS Gothic

I did that it came up with 4 options I'm trying them all

1. search for files or folders
2. on the internet.
3. using microsoft outlook
4. for people

Is it any of those ?

Start menu

Click All programmes

Type in the search box " Character Map" Enter

It should come up highlighted .

I found the character map and how to select the keys - I can't figure out how to use them on here. If I copy and then paste they just come up as the same font used on here.

I can't find "character map" on my "system tools", but I have XP and it might be different there. I can get into it via Word - "insert symbol" opens up the box, I presume that's the character map, but I don't know how to get into it otherwise

sigh, it won't copy into here - i did it in Word and copied and pasted, but no go, sigh

try wingdings - it's on the font bar. That has quite a few pics too.

ha, but i can get some with alt character keys!
☺☻☺☻ ¿ - only snag is finding the right number for each character! ▒▄▐ - sadly, the "character code" on "insert symbol" doesn't match the Alt character code. ah well, half a loaf, etc ...

I downloaded an Alt character file; the numbers only go up so far, being me, I wondered how many more characters there might be if one kept on going, I'm well into four-figure numbers now and still getting results. lol if anyone wants an Alt character list, I woin't be much longer sorting it out!
