Love the colour. I've never invested in any of the exotic daylilies. I like the regular orange daylily and the Stella d'Oro.
this one looks very close to the specie and has that fabulous colour. Wow...what's not to like? reminds me I should get another SD as I didn't bring any with me...in my last garden I had about 10 clumps of them. They flowered their lovely little heads off...and had great foliage besides.

I have loads of the standard orange ones. Glad I picked this one up last year.

The really are a great plant, aye? the shrubby foliage is nice even when they aren't flowering. I think plants that bloom in season are appreciated all the more because they have their "time"...like lilacs, and orange daylilies, irises and tulips and daffodils...etc. etc. ...anticipation!!!
