Yes Drc.....will it ever end!!!!! Thank you both for your concerns. I've been out for dinner and thankfully it hasn't got any worse and has slightly subsided. It is supposed to be drier tomorrow so fingers crossed it gets a chance to drain off!

I've just been admiring one of these on Hywels latest blog. I do hope your bees are not under all that water. Is this flooding a new thing and will the council put in some sort of flood defences to stop it happening again. Its so disheartening to make so much effort to have a lovely garden and then see it all disrupted by nature or lack of planning by the water board.

The flooding is the water table I think Sheila....there are adequate flood defences along the length of the river here (apparently). Developers have been made to pay for the defences in the past, it's apparently a 1 in 200 year risk. The village flooded sometime in the 70s. I've seen some photos.
Usually in April a small part of the garden can suffer but it's usually gone after 2 days but this is the worse I have seen it in the 5 years I've lived here.
There are people worse of than me so that's a big bonus!
