Are they all planted in garden or in pots?

You have part answered my question on the previous picture.I have a full size one in the garden,But afraid it disappoints me except for two weeks of the year,the bigest downer is that it has no autumn colour.

I throw caution to the wind and leaf strip, new leafs come out as seen for a good few months.

Do you take all the leaves off, what several times a year ? would have thought it would have killed it.
Mine is a bit to big to do that even if I wanted to.

Wait for the leafs to fully open, when new buds start to show I take all off, once in a season about very 3 years do not want to tempt fate! The new leafs come out and stay peach in colour for quite a time before turning. This is a technique used in bonsai to promote smaller leafs but you do have to know when to do it
