Aww Yorkshire . . are some of your roses repeat flowerers? At least then when they flower again the weather may have improved. :-/

Happened to some of mine too and my Oriental poppy the buds just went black and rotted, I have just cut it right down, disappointing isnt it when you wait so long to see them flower;0((
