First and most probably the last one of the year!

Great pic! Ive only seen two this year. been a hot sunny day here too then got a bit chilly about 6pm and now it has rained.

A small Tortoiseshell: they are in rapid decline Angie conservation groups are really concerned about them. It is so good to see it.

This is the one and only I've seen in the garden Pixi - a few white ones fluttering by along the river - very disappinting year for them. This was about 6 ft away from the Buddleja but it didn't go near that!!
Thanks for the name P....other than the white ones - these are the usual ones visiting the garden. I'm off too find out about them now I have the name. I'm not too hot on the id of the beasties and things, but I'm learning :)

Saw the same one/kind on the buddleja this afternoon. Only popped out for a bit of fresh air (ciggie break) inbetween painting and didn't have my phone on me to catch it. It spent ages flitting about all the flowers.
