Spiraea japonica 'Firelight' (Spiraea japonica 'Firelight')

is a bushy deciduous shrub to 1.2m tall, with ovate leaves that open dull red to bronze, changing to green in summer and reddish-purple in autumn; small rosy-pink flowers open in clusters in summer

Lovely shrub I do have a couple think they maybe Spirea Gold Flame, one seems to be be affected with rust , a reminder to treat;0)

I have goldflame. I remember a certain garden presenter saying she couldn't understand why they were so popular because the pink flowers clashed with the foliage. She said she always cut the flowers off as soon as they appeared for that reason. I found that rather odd...

I love the colour of this one.

I planted a spiraea this year too, think it's just called "rouge"...but I can't decide where to put it. Moved three times already, but the poor thing is doing really well in spite of me!

Spiraea Japonica Rouge' but I think over here it might be called Spirea 'Anthony waterer' ?
