Got my eye on these at the "very expensive garden centre" - their sale is usually at the end of August and boy do they discount!

Fully hardy?

We were told at the nursery up to -7 Meanie ,we are putting it against a wall where it should be protected , BTW is this photo on sideways ? Janey has told me that some of my photos are going on sideway even though they look the right way up on my screen !

Cool - I reckon that we can deal with that! Shed for the winter this year maybe depending on the size of the plant that I get..............

It's the right way up for me Amy.

This was the one and only one at the nursery Tet it's a lovely old fashioned nursery that only deals in plants /bulbs etc. none of this shopping for anything lark !

Well you are lucky to have such a place Amy, I know from experience its hard to make money selling only plants lol! I just about cover my costs (I hope!). It really is a cracking plant.

These nursery people take there plants to the local markets Tet ,obviously they can't bring everything with them it's nicer to take a trip to the nursery every once in a while ,all their plants look so healthy and clean ( no weeds ) it's a family concern .... are you after BOGOF 's Fran LOL..........

22 Aug, 2012

lol I had to look up "bogof" on Google, durr! don't think I'd object to that in some cases, but in others, one is quite enough!

No Fran, I just sell stuff on my drive..but the olympics killed trade somewhat..which meant of course that I could sit inside with one eye on the table and the other on the telly lol!

which reminds me, I've got a couple of Chelone cuttings that have sprouted well if anyone is interested, pink turtle heads, need fair bit of space.

I'm interested as to how you took the cuttings Tet ,I've probably left it to late I'm not even sure that I can find mine now if they have died down ....

Yours are a lot earlier than mine Amy! Mine are just coming into full flower, its usually August and they are fairly rampant so a non flowering shoot now quite long with couple/three nodes. I put one node below soil and they sprouted from the next one. Will try to remember to post a pic. Then I forgot all about them and they are getting quite big! Will do a mini blog and show the shoot and root system (hopefully they have one) but they seem very easy to do.
