I'm starting to think of winter planting too .
I bought some heathers the other day .

What lovely healthy plants Janey. I've never been a fan of heathers in the past, but I now have two yellow tree heathers and I just love them. They positively shine all winter. I am going to have some more, as soon as they come in to the GC I shall grab a few more for the winter borders!

I'm getting really into these winter interest plants girls, after all we see so much more winter than summer now.

The tree heathers sound interesting Karen, how tall are they? Anything that will make the garden interesting in winter is very welcome! How is your Korean Beauty Clem doing? All the wet weather has really made mine treble in size and so many flower buds, it should look great in a couple of weeks!

I no longer have the Korean Beauty Janey....it had to come out when I removed my rustic arch to make way for the three arches to the greenhouse. Hey ho. :S I agree about winter interest plants...totally fed up with the complete lack of summer here this year and it was horrible again today....gales and cold and grey. The tree heather gets quite large eventually .....1.5-2.5m in a few years. They need a good sunny spot here, but both mine are doing ok. They have white flowers in the spring time and the foliage is very bright during the winter....a real golden stunner.
