Its a lovely dahlia...earwigs on the move again....

I hate earwigs with a passion,i can not kill them though.i was collecting lupin seeds yesterday and four fell out of one of the pods.my scream was heard miles away i'm sure.lol

Must have been the day for screaming yesterday Suey, I was diggin some plants up off the allotment with a brand new garden fork the flippin thing broke in half with a spike of wood sticking out I fell forward and was very nearly impaled on it !!!!! a yeoman one too so not a cheap make, I screamed very loudly too.

OH no,Simbad.How awful for you.Sounds really painful,sounds as though it could have been much worse.i would write to Yeomans,thats terrible.

Hope you are ok Simbad, it must have given you a fright......Sue, i feel the same as you about earwigs, i have an awful dread of them...I cant put flowerpots upside down on canes to catch them during the day because i would have to empty the pots and then i would start screaming!!!

I'm fine Suey and Moti thankyou, managed to avoid it just fell on next allotment fence and got a few nettle stings :-), yes it'll be going back to the shop see what they say and I will be writing a letter.
There seems to be loads of earwigs this year nearly as bad as the slugs and snails, OH put a towel on the line the other evening and I forgot to fetch it in, next morning it was full of earwigs and yes I screamed and jumped up and down a bit too,lol.

Yuck!!!!.....This evening i was deadheading my Dahlias and i always bang the old flowerhead on the ground...well.....6 earwigs, a vine weevil and 2 green caterpillars popped out, i jumped and hopped all over the place in an effort to kill them...Unlike Sue though, i killed them...:<((

I don't kill anything,unless it trying to kill me Motinot.lol.I did kill a wasp last year and I was upset for two days.(very weird I know).my friend asked me why I was upset,I told her I had killed a wasp,I thought she would say how silly I was but instead she said totally serious,well it was one of gods creatures.I felt even more gutted then.

Me to Moti its the pincers I think, I don't hang around long enough to stamp on them,lol, run for the hills!!!!!!
