Thanks Drc...This one is about 6 inches across...the flowers on the other Hib. are 8 inches across...gorgeous things.

that is just one beautiful hibiscus, will it grow to its full height in your climate?
i see that this is still a greenhouse baby, will you eventually have it growing outside Lori? sorry if you have writen about this one before, i am a bit confused, still trying to catch up on so much gardening on Goy and at home! is my excuse..

Thanks Meanie and Resi... the Hib in the garden grows 3-5 ft tall this season...have seen specimens over 8 ft tall.. and I trim it back to about 6 inches in late fall and mulch it against the cold. the new one will remain in it's pot and will be let go dormant, kept in a cool window for the winter with reduced water..will plant it out in the spring. Don't want to take the chance of losing it to the cold by planting it this late in the season. It's ok, M, I'm hopelessly behind on here, too!
