Discovery apples, plentiful but small!

OH, how lovely. I had a dwarf Discovery Rose, but it has had to come out, along with the other apple Winter Gem and the Pear. They were under such a lot of stress with the wet over the past few summers. There was no fruit at all this year, and there was horrible rust and mould and all sorts of problems on them. Sad, but better to grow things that thrive I think. Yours looks great though!

You are so right, there is nothing worse than a sickly plant that is obviously unhappy. If ever I buy a Daphne (which I love) I just watch it slowly suffer and finally give up completely. I have to just enjoy them in other people's gardens instead.

OH yes, I know what you mean about Daphnes ....I have the same problem. I think it is because a Daphne's roots must never be allowed to dry out completely....that's what does it Rose. lol...perhaps I should plant some in my garden come to think of it!
