Allotment Perennial Sunflowers at bottom of plot 01-08-2012 002

These Perennial Sunflowers, or Helianthus, are at the bottom of Gerry's plot. This photo was taken at the beginning of August. They are very big this year probably because of the wet summer we had.

They were transplanted there after my brother dug them up from Gerry's allotment. He just left the clumps on the ground & never got around to taking them to the rubbish tip alongside the allotments field gates. I just took some of the clumps & put them in here.
