Grown from seed and none of mine had spots but still like them :-)

Lovely Simbad....I tried to grow these from seed a few years ago...dont know what happened but, no luck....

I remember they did take quite a while to germinate, they're those seeds that need a cold spell to get going, so I sowed them in my unheated greenhouse in autumn and they sprouted the following spring, have grown some more since from my own collected seed :-)
Thanks Karen, these did suffer a bit last year after the cold winter but are back as good as ever this again.

Thanks Janey it is a pretty colour isn't it, have a yellow one too if I manage to get any flowers, the magpies keep pecking the buds off!!!! suppose they must look like beaks,lol.
