Red Admiral

You are lucky I have only seen three Butterflies in total all summer!

So that's an admiral ... well I've been naming the orange ones I've seen wrong then lol ... don't know what they are then ....

Thanks both. Well Hywel I didnt know what it was but my friend told me it was a Red Admiral. Perhaps he's wrong !!

Looks right sometimes they are lighter in colour

Very few here, mostly tortoiseshells, which are lovely. It is a little worrying that there are so few of them.
