Grown so tall this year, another that the rain water has helped.

I had this in my hand earlier in the summer in the GC - I put it back down because I wasn't sure where to put it. That is lovely - wish I had now.....always next year :))

Yes Rose that is the one, I have grown one from seed too, they are lovely, this one is about 7 ft tall now. :O)
Scottish they are well worth the space if you can find it, put it on your wish list for next spring. :O) Karensue has a lighter one in her front garden border, do not think it grows as big as this one. Might be worth a try if you haven't got a lot of room to grow this bigger one. :O)

The yellow one 'Golden Lanterns' has had to be removed from the front garden as it was far too tall. However, I still have one in the back garden, thank goodness. I hated having to remove it as it was so beautiful, but it was right in front of my bay window and just too much. It didn't grow much the first year, but this year it really romped away! My green one is in a pot on the gravel. I did have it on the patio but my goodness, the berries make a right mess and also the wind kept blowing it over. It's in a safer place now in the back corner of the secret area.

I was told you just cut this right back every year as it puts on lots of growth....is that correct or are the flowers sacrificed?

I chop mine back after the flowers have finished if that helps Scottish. It sprouts back up again in spring and grows bigger every year, well it has done so far. :o)
