Thanks Terra. I'm trying them as a cut flower to see how long they last.

Beautiful, what a lovely row. I managed to get mine to grow at the third attempt last year, they survived the winter, apparently if you leave them and do not trim them down until after winter they have a better chance of survival or so I am led to believe. :O)

Well Terra, I didn't have much luck growing them in the garden as there is a lot of shade with the trees around us, so now I have grown all plants including these on the allotment garden as it is in full sun all day. So maybe this is the answer to your question. They took a long time to germinate and just as I was about to throw them, Libet said to transfer them to my cold frame and forget them, as it could have been too warm in the greenhouse. she also sent me some of hers as well and they all grew and flowered at the same time. I'm so pleased I waited for them to germinate. Yes Barbara, you are right to leave them like this over winter. They should self seed as well. Thanks for your comments.
