Black bamboo corner planter revamped.

The nigra bamboo had been in this corner of the patio ever since we did the revamp of the yard and had been a nice steady grower until this year when it went berserk and threw out loads of new shoots. In the wet and wind this summer it seemed constantly to be arched right over the steps and wet us through each time we passed it so I decided it was time to dig it out and plant it elsewhere. The corner planter is 2ft deep by 2ft wide by 2 1/2 ft long and because of the bamboos sudden root growth this year nothing else was growing and it was impossible to even get the tip of the trowel into the soil.
