Tidying of The Smoke Bush

It was lots of hard work!!!

No help from the mutts or moggie though!

Thats a job that I need to do ours is huge and overshadows other shrubs ,that looks to be a good height to have it Lulu !

It's about 7 years old now Amy. The green one has spread a bit and the dark one had a few branches whipped off when the dogs were pups!! I do love them. Plan to see if I can grow one or two from cuttings next year!

My green one is about 15 years old and at least 7ft tall we should have pruned it harder to keep it in shape when it was younger , my dark one is new this year I will prune it more often , a lesson learnt . :o)

I thought about pruning this green one.but didn't have the heart to do it! Saw one at Westonbirt abouretum and it had 'spread' like this, so thought I'd leave it!
Might prune the cuttings though!
