Bottle Propagator

Bottle Propagator

I cut a plastic bottle in half and made a little propagator for some sage cuttings I took yesterday...:-)

I do this sometimes too,Richard, and bigger ones are ok in the garden ..I find the tops of bottles are better than the bottoms..at least you can unscrew the lid,for air and condensation..remember the guttering idea I pinched from you? ..I found another use for a small left over bit..not in the garden..but propped up against a chair, for Grandson to run his little cars down...he loves it ! :o))

Just about to put my pots into bottles to find I have put the plants into square pots!!
Do you keep the bottle tops on Richard?

13 Oct, 2012

Yes I keep the tops on mainly to maintain moisture and this stops the cuttings drying out Lulu..I take the tops off now and again to let in fresh air and remove any condensation :-)
