Taxus ... Yew trees

Very pretty,Amy..I love to see all the berries in autumn..:o)

These little trees are only just over 1ft tall Sandra ,it's taken 2 years for them to have berries, I'm thrilled to see them :o)

Have you planted them as a hedge,Amy,or a border?
Glad you can see they are doing well :o)

They are planted at the back of a big border in front of the ditch Sandra one at either end , we are gradually planting more shrubs instead of annuals to make less work ... we hope !

I have one i was given years ago growing over one side of the pond ,never seen any berries though,probably a male one.

Is that why Brian ? I have two little ones bought at the same time they both have berries on . must be female then !

I am only Guessing,I have never seen any flowers on mine and it is at least twenty years old,could be it needs a mate.
Save me some seed if there is any in there.

I will do Brian :o) the berries almost look like wax Homebird ,very poisonous !

They look like little gems Amy, they contrast so well with the sharp Yew leaves....lovely!

How big are your trees, Amy? I have two exemplars in my garden, female one has red berries on dark green branches, that is very nice. The second one is little bit bristly haired without any berries. Simply man :))

They are so pretty Amy like little red lantern, love the clean cut shape of the leaves too;0)

Love to see the red against the green, always so seasonal....
