Indeed! Do you know The Fox pub Shirl? The Windrush rushes by it in Great Barrington. I go there every year for the Foxstock folk festival. Am hoping that next year my hubby's band will be playing there also.

Hello all, - this is something the Chamber of Commerce do every year and they have a 'Victorian Theme Evening' as well. The village gets very crowded for that so after the first year or two of taking part we don't bother going down anymore! We can go in the shops anytime, when they are less crowded!!
I sure do know the Fox Lulu, my son's partner did work there, but I am not sure if she does now! We havwe been many times for a meal, though not for some time now. Years ago before it was all refurbished we used to play darts there quite regularly against their team, with the Bourton Cricket Club darts team!!
I can't say I have heard about the Festival, when is it going to be held next year? We ought to try & come over there! What is your husband's band called?

The festival is the end of August bank holiday and runs from the Friday night to Monday night. It's a lovely festival of brilliant music.
Hubby's band is called Billy in the Low Ground. They are just updating their website!

When I you tubed them all I got was the actual song...will enquire how to find some of their music!

I just typed in 'Billy in the low ground' on Google & lots of things came up!! There seem to be quite a few on Youtube. I listened to some & if it is you - I love it!!

I think it's lots of people singing the song titled 'billy in the low ground' I will let you know when their web site is back up and running. They are very good..5 piece band. My hubby is the drummer, they write all their own songs and there is a fiddle player also!

So is that their name? (named after the song?)
