Here they made a big pot of bean soup!

I don't like them. I gave them to my neighbours. I know I should eat them.

I'm confuse girls... are those commom beans?

There runner beans

I had a plant or two growing by accident on my balcony a year or two ago as well! I grow runner beans on the allotment but, other than a couple of tomato plants, I don't usually grow veg on the balcony.

Your bean looks great! Neither my wife nor I like them but we use them in puréed soups together with leeks, carrots & potatoes together with a few pieces of chicken. It's the only way we can use up the bags of frozen runner beans & eat them.

I'm not a lovely of veg, but I did like growing them. I like the flowers on the runner bean plant Do you seed your own plants?

Some plants I grow from seed, some are saved one year to the next & others I buy in as plug plants. I have very little space for growing all my plants from seed but for the last couple of years I've been sowing a few in the greenhouse on Gerry's allotment that we share. When they are big enough - or when I've got room - I bring them home & plant them out.

Yes, I seed all my plants and veg. I have two balcony I have a small balcony that comes of my bedroom. I keep a little green house out there.

I had a little greenhouse on my balcony for 10 years but last year I had to throw it away as it had rusted beyond repair! :'-(( I really miss it!

I got mine in wilinson's last year. It was only £10

They have them here in Wilkos in town but they cost a lot more than £10!

I forgot to say; I got it when Willnson's had a sale.

That then makes a lot more sense! :-))
