Not cabbages

Not cabbages

I'm currently visiting Japan and staying in Osaka. I found these in a local park which was very well tended. They're the same plant that David_Mann has photos of. The long stems in this photo are only there in the spring and make them look much less cabbage like.

The two colours contrast well.
Very pretty not cabbages, Peter.

One of my current favourites, I have them here at home, too. They do tend to grow leggy and, sometimes, flower, in the Spring, when after their best - a bit like edible cabbages, etc, which have "bolted".
