These are some of my favourites ,beautiful ! some of our plants survive the winter in the greenhouse we have to wait until the summer for the flowers .......

Mine bloom heavily in the summer. I have a pink one still in a pot and that one has lost all its leaves. I should have put it in the garden???

Amy, I wish it was warmer here during the winters.....I really don't like the cold weather!
I would love a greenhouse.

We use to heat our greenhouse in the winter Alex but it became so expensive we decided to cover everything with fleece and newspaper it seems to work if we lose something it's cheaper to buy another one than heat the greenhouse ....

Alexandramou:
I think your plant would do very well in the garden. This plant loves a lot of water, though. I think that's why my plants bloom best in winter. They typically don't like very hot temps (especially hot nights like we have here during summer).
Most Abutilon species are native to higher elevations of the tropics where it's cooler at night.

I have two red ones, I had one in a pot and one in the garden. The one in the pot always looked droopy so now there are two red ones in the garden and one pink in a pot (the pink from seed). I'm going to wait for spring before I plant that one in the garden too. ;o)))

Abutilons in a pot need water every day. I have a couple of orange varieties in pots. They droop all the time.
I have a red one in the ground which is in full bloom now. It has never grown taller than 5 ft (1.5m) tall in 6 years.
When I lived in the San Francisco Bay Area my Abutilons would grow to 10 - 12 ft tall within a year, or less.

Oh good, 5ft is a good hight for were mine is planted.
Agree, Abutilons need the ground.
I can't wait for spring!!!!!!

If you have good soil with lots of water it'll grow much taller.
I can't for spring which arrives here in just a couple of weeks. The next 5 or 6 days supposedly it's going to feel like spring. Temps were warm today and are going to get back up to 80ºF (27ºC) again! YAY!!! :>)

Looking good! Mine are all in full bloom now. For some reason most of mine only bloom during winter. When I lived in the San Francisco Bay Area they bloomed heavily all year and grew much faster and larger.
