What is the tree Sheila? It has lovely bark.

Karen ~ it's Betula pendula 'Youngii', a weeping birch. When we moved here over 30 years ago, I'd read that it was "suitable for small gardens", and (because of its unusual habit perhaps) just about every visitor likes it!

If you want a better view, there are a couple of images on page 7 of my pics . . . it looks better when in leaf though :)

They are enchanting Sheila. I have to enjoy other peoples' because we struggle to get them established in our garden.

On Exmoor there is a lovely place to visit called Snowdrop Valley but entry has been delayed this year beacause of fallen trees and all the wetness, it is a shame.
