just put this one up on my screensaver, I had forgotten how beautiful it looked.

Ah, that is so lovely......if only it lasted a bit longer than winter!

I know, I was looking for pictures to cheer me up. Sick of the damp and cold and dark days, hoping for some sunshine, but do not think I shall see much after watching the forecast this evening on Countryfile. lol. It does help to see the photos of the garden with all the lovely flowers again. Soon be spring.

I wonder what it is like to 'not' feel like this for half the year!

It seems like nearly 12 months Karen, feeling like this, been an awfully long long winter.

Me neither Pansypotter, but a little bit of sunshine would be much appreciated.

I remember this being a lovely set of photos when you posted them Olive, the pinks really stand out for me. I normally get on with the decorating at this time of year but I'm even struggling with that.

Thank you Waddy, so glad you like it. I agree roll on spring. Although have just been for a walk and if the wind wasn't blowing you would think it was here already, it is quite blustery at the moment, but the good side is it is drying my washing. lol.

Thanks Annella, they do stand out I agree, I hate decorating, not even thinking about it. lol. You will be busy cuddling baby and enjoying being a Gran, it is a great job.

Mum, It does feel like 12 months...it has been though hasn't it! I think everyone is finding it really tough this year because of last summer. We've had two stinkers of summers now, so I guess that's why we are finding it particularly difficult...you kind of lose hope after two really awful summers in a row. However, when the sun comes out, as it is now, just for a moment, you get that hopefulness back. If we get a third washout this year, I think we will be needing happy pills! lol ;) Having said all that, we haven't been flooded (in the house), we haven't been snowed in, and so far, we haven't had any damage from high winds. So really, we've been let off lightly compared to a lot of you English folk. :)

Yes Karen it is nice down here this morning, blustery but nice, off into garden in a minute to do some chopping down debris work. While I can. lol.

Poor Kath is getting heavy snow up in Kirriemuir again!

Just got in from the garden, knees sore, back sore, but by golly I feel good, big border sorted, just need to turn the soil and weed now. The bulbs are coming through nicely - snowdrops and aconites are well through. Still got to get up by the fishpond (the old plum tree border) but that will not take as much sorting as this big middle border. Two big garden sacks full of rubbish ready to drag into the wood to put on the compost heap. Oh it does make you feel good!!

ps. How much snow has Kath got already? Does it look like snowing all day?

Another sure, but I fear we may even get some this week. Oh well, it is winter after all! Glad you managed to get outside and sort some of it out. I still have. Bait of clearing up and cutting back to do, but it's a bit too cold for pottering today!

I'm hoping, Barbara that the weather men are wrong about this month! Its our wedding anniversary the middle of the month and up to now have always had nice sunny days. I think we just have to make the most of the few we get!

I wish my IPad would stop 'correcting' my typing! Lol

Karen we have got a little this morning too. It has stopped now so going to go to Morrisons and shop in a little while, maybe treat myself to lunch out too. lol. saves me getting it ready at home. lol. Managed to get out in the garden and finish off the middle border so all good. Just a little left to do now.

Snow has cleared from here now, and the sun is shining. A couple of hours ago I was having a private tour of the Gardens at Glamis Castle in heavy snowfall.....stunning,absolutely stunning, and the head Gardener there is inspiring and great fun too! can't wait to get stuck in up there!!!! :)

I bet you can't Karen, it will be brilliant being able to see it through all its seasons and being able to work in it too. You will have such fun and come home and want more garden and a bigger house and oh the wish list will just get bigger and bigger and bigger. lol. Enjoy. Don't forget to take your camera cos I want pictures. lol.

Oh no, I shan't want a bigger garden Mum! The walled garden is HUGE! I came home, looked at my little plot and thought 'thank goodness mine is manageable!

Yes, we are going to be their first volunteers Annie, me and Kath. We are going to be working on the restoration of their huge walled garden.....it's a huge task, but it is going to be brilliant!

bet it was nice walking at that time of the night, I would not know cos I can sleep for England. No problems getting to sleep, sometimes wake up in the middle of the night but put the tv on and it bores me to sleep again. lol. It will soon be spring, then you can get out there Bilbo, lovely day here today been for a walk with dog. Sun shining, birds singing...............

if only it looked like this at the minute - it is very bare and cold and wet out there just now. More snow forecast tomorrow and then hopefully some sunshine on Thursday. :O)
