Clerodendrum x speciossum flowers

Clerodendrum x speciossum flowers (Clerodendrum x speciossum)

This is MVM GoY member's Clerodendrum x speciossum vine growing on a beautiful, custom-made trellis. I received my cuttings from this vine. Posted for Terratoonie. Photo taken Jan. 12, 2012.

Yes, I wish I had the money for custom made trellises (yes, plural he's got more than one). I'll have to get photo of the plants on the trellises because they're beautiful and very impressive.

I'm just so surprised when I visited last weekend this vine had so many bracts and flowers and looked flawless. It's a very tropical vine (like wet equatorial tropical) and the weather here has been below normal for the last couple of weeks. Daytime highs have been struggling to get up to 60ºF (16ºC) which is below our average high of 70ºF (21ºC) this time of year.

You lucky fellow Delonix!

GoY memeber MVM's Garden is just simply stunning! I wish my garden looked so superb and well-manicured!

Meanie, the rare exotic tropical plants he has would take your breathe away! Many of the exotic tropicals are even very difficult to find here in San Diego.

Something for you to aspire to then!

My rare and exotic tropical plant collection its top notch...although, I wish my garden was definitely more manicured, like it used to be.

"I wish my garden was definitely more manicured,"

That's the part that I was referring to - you know how jealous I am of your plants!

It just takes so much more energy to maintain the 1,000 plants these days. I never have enough time. Lately, it's just been to cold to work in the garden (we're such cold-weather wimps here!) the daytime highs have only been from: 59 - 63ºF (15 - 17ºC). I hate it!

You have quite a collection of tropical exotics, also. The only difference is that I can grow them outside.
