After the squirrel had mugged the caged feeder, and the other feeders, it moved on to an old plastic tray that I'd put some thawed frozen baby carrots, bits of bread and a few nuts. No prizes for guessing which it went for ...

Fran, I wonder, why you and Klahanie are surprised, that grey squirrels are overpopulated in the U.K. Here we have one of the reasons, lol :)))

Because of the snow, I thought I ought to try some food for the birds - and then thought of ground-feeding birds, hence the tray. No more, though!
