Thanks all - it was quite comical to watch. They ended up having a fight and titch fell off - his pride hurt!!
Birds are used to it Floralhead - they quite often sit in here and the birds tease them by sitting on the roof usually!
Sheila - I read your blog. I've not got the kids this weekend. The older two are off out with their friends to the Gyle - I'm sure that will be better than I can offer them :)

the birds don't seem too scared of the dog here anymore either...they just get used to each other I guess :)

Linda, see you are off an age to remember topping and tailing too - my mum always tells the story of when she was always sent to stay with family during school holidays - she was an only child. She would be sent through to the farm in Lanarkshire - they had 13 kids and all slept top and tails in 2 beds. She hated it coz one of her cousins was a bed wetter and the others used to dump her beside him!!
Karen - a new Dicentra cucullaria 'Pink Punk', a white meconopsis, replacement blue corydalis (I think the other drowned!) and another little woodlander, they recommened but I can't remember the name and as it's tucked up in neighbours greenhouse, to far to walk in the hail! Oh and there is a lovely trillium I want but at £13 for one - that needs to wait til I'm flush again :) Oh almost forgot - inspired by Bjs hepatica pictures - I picked one up for luck!! Don't know where I'm going to put that though - needs some research first!
Sheila - yes this weeks plant budget was spent!! The stopping smoking didn't happen either - blast!!!

At the price of cigarettes 2 days worth will get you that plant that you want lol. If you are coming to the srgc show in Edinburgh time to stop now or you will be kicking yourself at the bargains you might pass up.

It can work Karen. I stopped smoking 45 years ago and am so glad when I see what they cost. I thought i might have seen you at Dunblane. Did you forget? I was so busy no time to tell anybody in pm's what I was doing.
