I lost a few last year, not really sure why but when I saw this one I thought it worth another effort. Not a brilliant photo of the flower......still getting used to new camera a slight Guinness over do last night!

I have a very healthy pink one , Lulu , but I love this pale version . It is certainly a big one . Have you tried to grow them from seed ?
Mine is in full shade , I don't think that it ever gets the sun .

its very pretty lulu, hope it does well!
are you planting shamrock tomorrow?

I think no to the Shamrock!
I have tried tiny baby ones but maybe in too sunny a spot.
its a funny garden here, dry shade in summer because of leaves on the tree and no shade in winter.
I will get a close up of the flower, it really does glow, bless it's little heart!

Lulu I bought new Hellebores recently and the advice given was that the roots go down a very long way maybe as much as a foot plus so need to dig a deep hole and fork grit in to the bottom to aid drainage because they don't like sitting in water logged soil. I have not been able to plant them yet because the ground has been frozen. These are a very lovely shade of pink.

It's still in its pot on the patio where I can see it. Just thinking of where to plant it....somewhere where I can see it from the kitchen window I think!

I had one given as a present last year and it has masses of flowers on now and it's in a small flowerbed under a large shrub. They are lovely.
