Shirlwhirl, the Orange-breasted Bunting (Passerina leclancherii) is a species of bird in the Cardinalidae family. It is endemic to Mexico.

The only REALLY colourful bird here is the kingfisher, I wish we had more like your bunting!!

Shirlwhirl, this picture was taken in Mexico, where we live during the winter months, and not on Vancouver Island where we live during summer. :-)

Do you get lovely colour birds where you are?

Vanouver Island must be a lovely place to live.
A few years ago, my daughter won a holiday in Vancouver and she and her husband and their son really loved it!! They always say they would like to go back.

We do not have as colourful birds as what we see in Mexico Shirlwirl.

Thank Goodness everything in Mexico isnt up for food. Some other countries in the tropics arent as nice to wildlife.
