They look like petal hats for fairies - so sorry, my imagination has taken off again!
A very sweet flower.

It is very interesting, Brian. Does this flower grow naturally in the British Isles? According to the book of botany I have this flower is typical for Western Carpathian mountains, e.g. for instance, Sovakian mountains, where they are protected by law. It likes high and wet altitudes, so very often it grows at upper borderlines of woods. Because it is able to break through ice shell, it´s folk name in Slovakia is "Ice Little Bell" (ľadový zvonček).

Katarina
No it does not, like so many plants it survives with considerable care in the south and west of the UK a bit easier in the North.
Mouldy I like your description,
And yours Wildrose so very different.

Thank you for information.

Like Wildrose, I suspect, my imagination sometimes sees more than just a plant. Lol.

At least he decided to share some of the flowers with your Bjs.
I can see some buds just beginning to unfurl on one of mine - the others it seems are behind!
