Three solar water features in to one...

I've lost all three of my solar water features. One has just given up (the pump), one has been destroyed by the weather (terracotta pots cascade is no more) and the other has been destroyed by invaders (balls over the fence? Fox? stray dog coming in to the garden? Cats perhaps, or even a Heron?). I have only one pump, one panel and one transformer left. So, the pond fountain has now been replaced with the little urn from the cascade....sigh. Oh well. Corkscrew Hazel looks great lit by the sunshine!

I lost my solar fountain last year due to the frost!
Lovely Hazel, they look so pretty when they get big. My Dad has one, says its intruding onto the driveway......NO! It's fine, leave it or dig it up for me!

I found to my cost that anything which relies on solar energy...can't be relied on, if you get my drift. Don't worry Karen, your water feature area looks lovely. Do you get any water loving visitors, such as frogs?

Thanks everyone....sadly, no, not yet Waddy, but I suspect it was a fox that destroyed my pond fountain....need a night camera! I really hope a frog or a toad will come one day!

It still looks lovely in spite of your losses. A very pretty place in your garden.

Such a shame Karen..it looked so pretty, and all the hard work you put in,to make it....but it still looks good now...the fox clearly didn't have good taste..!

could you get a replacement pump for that feature?
I wish I had enough sun for even one feature! got the feature, but as I only get about an hour of sun around noon, no point having the thing cluttering up the space all the time. I've been trying to find out if I could get it to run off batteries instead.

That looks lovely. My pump (low voltage) has finally given up just after I rearranged the pebble pool. Never mind - an extra excuse for going to the GC!

Thanks HB, yes, I've had a run of bad luck with the water features lately, but not to worry. The main problem is the frost I'm afraid.
