New Garden September 2 2012

New Garden September 2 2012

I've got a blog of the move posted. Here is the sunny side of all my old garden plants in their new spots, thus, the new garden! Mostly condensed here where the sun hits most, I've plenty of area to grow new shade gardens.

You must be really looking forward to some spring weather GT and the start of your growing season. I hope your plants have weathered the winter well, ours are only just beginning to leaf up, it's mid April and we must be at least a month behind!

We are well behind here too. I'm hoping the summer feels like a summer. It was one of our coldest winters and now it wont seem to go away. At least there is sunshine. :-) Thank you Janey.

Thank you Aleyna. I'm breathless waiting. We usually see the ground by now and we still have 18inch snow on the ground!

Great to see a sunny spot! We haven't had much sunshine for the better part of a month until recently.

WOW! 18 inches of snow! We NEVER see more than an inch or two & then the country grinds to a halt practically! HOW do you guys cope with so much snow?

LOL, thank you Balcony. I do enjoy more than a fair share of sun here in the interior Alaska, even with those dark winters. Glad you had some recently. :-)

The snow, oh, the snow. That is what is left of it. We get two or three feet throughout the winter average, some melting, some staying. This year was more than average. And just really cold very late. My ice just broke on the road today, and usually we get sign of leaves next week and grass! I hope it goes fast and spring....well, springs. :-)

Update. Still frozen! Well below freeze at night. It is never ending this year!~!!!!

We may not have freezing temps any longer but the weather swings backwards & forwards like a pendulum between very cold windy weather for a few weeks & then to hot days for a few days.

Spring is at least 3 weeks behind this year!

Late there too? I hope it warms up. I'm waiting to see what survived a winter at such length, that's the other killer compared to the cold itself. We are similar 4-5 weeks behind. There should be blooming trees next week and we haven't seen the first blade of grass yet.
