I ask because i remember having this plant Dd....It seeded itself everywhere, its lovely but it got out of hand and it took ages to remove it..:>)

Motty like all these kind of Poppies they take years to get rid of, I do try and deadhead to stop them from taking over...

This is one of my favorite poppies. They only grow and flower in the middle of winter here, though.

I sometimes have problems growing them in my garden, also. It's especially difficult when we have a winter heatwave and temps get up to 90ºF (32ºC) or higher in January.

Love these poppies but the garden here is only small and full of them until I dug them all out and thought that was it....but they still appear where they think I can't see them.

They are pretty though Homebird.......even if they do insist on surviving whatever the odds......

Well I'm afraid they will win the battle then Dottie....LOL......but for now........it goes on.

I gave up years ago, just keep pulling them out when, or if I see one where I dont want it....
