"Great....the swallows are back!"

Lovely to see;0))

They're starlings Carole in the photo......that's my cat Teddy on the neighbours roof, watching the birds in the churchyard......he spends a lot of his time in the summer up there trying to catch swallows and swifts as they scream by.
We have had swifts brought to the door overnight, then in the morning I've had to throw them high into the air to launch them again.

Lol Janey I missed Teddy up there bird spotting lol , he's certainly got a head for heights!

Ha ha, this made us laugh! Our cat is into Magpies and bank voles at the moment, which also have to be returned to the forest, if we can get them off him in time!! Ours is a ginger tom, Teddy looks similar?

Oh my goodness Janey ,how on earth did Teddy get up there ? I hope you didn't have to get the ladder out to rescue him !!

Janey wouldn't mind sending for the fire brigade with all those Hunky men coming to the rescue San , she would get up there with Teddy waiting to be rescued herself LOL .... :o))

Yes Pam a true ginger Tom, my lionking...:)). I haven't seen him tackle magpies, not yet anyway!

No he's used to his summer roof life San, he is very naughty and we've a feeling he just waits for the swifts to come screaming by then he lifts up one of his paws and that's it! I'm hoping he's not too good at it this year....:((

He's like the ginger Tom on the go cat advert Amy, a law unto himself......now that is an idea, I wonder if Ted can help me up, the fire station is just up the road....saying that they do have some lady firefighters, they'd probably give me a good ticking off...lol!

LOL .. they would be be jealous of the attention you would get Janey .. . we have had a visiting cat who looks very much likeTeddy he has made friends with us he isn't wearing a collar but looks well looked after ,he likes our garden and comes to sit in it :o)

Oh yes Amy......I love ginger puss cats....he would love you and Tony and your gorgeous garden I'm sure, they are great company aren't they.......and he would see off those squirrels!

He's a lovely cat Janey we don't know who his owner is ,he rubs round our legs and rolls on the ground for us to tickle his tummy , it's quite nice to have his company without his bills !

Lovely to have them back, they usually gather on the beach front here catching insects in the air before they fly off for the winter.. dont see them arrive.. :))

Oh yes Paul, he has his ways and means, his bank holiday has been spent snoring gently upstairs.....back to business tomorrow, I bet.....:))

All the way to Africa Holly, isn't it incredible......we have swifts here too screeching by, I always think they're like the formula 1 of the bird world..lol!

Lol Janey on first looking, I thought "should have gone to specsavers, surely they're starlings" I also thought Teddy was one of those model animals that you can buy, you know, like the jack russells bottom:-) Maybe it's me who should go to Specsavers!!:-))))

Oh! Jane what a wonderful little character...Teddy same name as my little friend who sadly passed away this Month, with Luekemia...Just as lovable!! Lovely sight to see Janey...I do notice the Swallows which i took as being Starlings too are keeping their distance..lol They are Swallows, though you can tell by the white on the front of their chests....Similar i agree... It is great though to have these little favourites back in our gardens....Teddy reminds me of a cartoon mischievious, comical & lovable cat...Just cannot think of the name though...Give Teddy a extra large hug from me Janey x

Ha ha Ba.......definitely Starlings those....wondering what the heck he is up to as anyone walking by below would think if they looked up.....he does love the rooftops!

Oh I'm sorry to hear about Teddy Fp, I remember seeing your pics of him. Now those birds you see there are starlings.....it's just that when the swallows and swifts are back here, Teddy spends so much time on the roof tops, it's his favourite past time during summer, that and snoozing away in the greenhouse....:)). I think you mean Garfield? Ted is much more handsome, at least that's what he tells me...lol! Will give him a squeeze from you Fp, when he comes down....:))

So summer must be here then Janey? thank goodness for that, Teddy is a bit of a devil, as all ginger cats are, loads of character.
