Ants on Peony buds

Crikey what a fab close-up Scottish !!!!!!
I have so many ants this year everywhere I dig there seems to be nests they've excavated under a couple of plants too which don't look to healthy now.

I agree with Simbad, that's a brilliant photo. I am having the same problem with ants undermining plants.

Such a shame ladies. I hope there is something you can both do to resolve that problem.

Trouble is these days I feel guilty about killing anything pest or not !!!!, find myself rescuing the tiniest moths and spiders and putting them outside is that normal?? lol.

Simbad, those conservationists have a lot to answer for ;-)
