I can believe! I make some needlework but not so big!
It's made in only one piece or it's made of patches?
I usaully make hats with crotchet because I get bored soon of the same work for a long time! Sometimes I make pullovers or scrarfs!

It's made in one piece Lia....about 440 stitches per row, using a circular needle so I could get them all on! I also make clothes. :)

I have a knitting pattern book with flowers to knit, have done some water lillies from the pattern book. Lovely ideas in there. So yes they can be knitted but somehow do not think they would suit your style Mouldy. lol :O) bit too girly me thinks for you but eh who knows. lol :O)

Thanks Annie! Mum, what did you do with the water lilies? Have you seen knitted veg? They make me laugh..have never understood why anyone would want a knitted carrot!

they are in a glass bowl on my coffee table, only practised them, was thinking of doing a shawl for a baby when eventually we get one lol :O) was going to add them to the shawl - the knitted veggies amuse me too as do the knitted toys, but not really into that sort of work. I love to see how the arty people knit and wrap up and show their work in towns and cities - makes me smile. I haven't picked up my needles since I started gardening, will try and get a picture of the water lillies for you. Hope you are feeling better today.

Not that much better. There's only one good thing about this virus...it's timing is good...right at the end of Wimbledon...no guilty feelings for sitting glued to the telly! Every cloud....

Clothes with sewing machine?
I bought a good singer but i only made thins for the house ,coutains, pillos, net jet clothes, but I want to try to sew some pants for the summer! I have many nice fabrics!
That's my second passion, buying fabrics!
And vintage bottons too!
Somebody says that garders are a bit crazy!

WOW! That was a lot of wool and work gone into that Karen, it is lovely...lucky girl!

I've got so many lengths of material stored under the bed! Don't buy it for any particular project, just see it, like it, buy it - and then think of what I can use it for.

I've bought a lot of cheap sari material - at £5 for three yards, thought it would be cheap enough to practice on, no worries about wasting good material.

I've only got a hand-turned machine, which is a pain in more ways than one - it has a fold-down apron to support the material, but it's only a small one, and the material keeps getting caught, so every few stitches i have to hoist the bulk of the material over the edge, or it starts pulling sideways.

I did make a pair of curtains once, with some red velvet - I dismantled a black duvet cover to use for lining - attaching the curtain jeader was really hard work: two thickness of material (more for seams) took some effort. And, of course, cpnstantly having to hitch up the material to stop it getting caught on the apron.

Given my vision, I'm wary of electric machines: not only cos they're so complicated these days that I'd never be able to work them (given that I'd not be able to read the manual!).

I'm useless with sewing machines girls! I much prefer a good yarn! :))
