Lovely white flowers on this 'gent' - purchased last year without much growth but has certainly made up for it now :)

I don't recalling it having any scent, Lori, but it certainly lived up to its name with large, strong leaves. It was the last of my hostas to die down in the autumn too.

My niece has a bed of very old variety hostas and some of them bloom late, are white and have the most wonderful lily scent. They were in the garden when she moved there and doesn't know how long they were there beforehand or who might have planted them. They're a riddle and I'm hoping to bring some offsets to my patch. Will look for "Big Daddy" at the nurseries next spring. Love the little pointy tips on the petals!

does this "gent" have a scent? I'm looking for hostas which are happy in deep shade and have a scent. These flowers are gorgeous. Are the leaves large?
