Looks like Chamaecyparis lawsoniana Wissels Saguaro

Sorry Brian I'm useless with conifers I've looked through my book but can't match it to any exactly !

Had a look at some pictures of the name you gave and all were green.
My photo has cream variegation so assume a variation on it.

Thuja plicata 'Irish Gold' (v), Thuja plicata Zebrina, Thuja arborvitae Yellow Ribbon are possibilities. What is the tree bark like?

Scotsgran@Sorry, but Thuja plicata doesn´t have that structure of branches as this tree. Sorry Brian, the best would be to take small branch with you to the nearest Botanic garden. They would tell you with certainty what it is.

Hi Brian, I'm not to hot on pines or fires trees but at a stab how about a chamaecyparis type, maybe Chamaecyparis obtusa Baldwin's Variegated but now I look at it yours maybe a bit big for that one... Good luck anyway.

Was it a self seeder? If so, maybe it's none of the above suggestions but a brand new one, curtesy of the wind or the birds!!! Name it yourself Brian!!
