The tree was attaked by aphids this year (2013) . Only few of these plums for us.

Delonix, I read somewhere that they are a version of "Santa rosa" plums you grow in California. These were modified for colder climate. We grow several different plums on our property. They do well here. I hope to get more of these next year.

There were many aphids this year Jane on the plums and also on the cherries, not as much on the apples trees and pears. We have lots of pears (and apples).

I love Santa Rosa plums. My neighbor has one...I get some of the fruit.

my friends always get their plumbs eaten by wasp :( but this year we might all get a feast providing the wasps are not about... what happens they keep nesting on and around our houses...
so far so good...
