Plus No 4...presuming, as I thought glads had mutiple flowers, which the only two I chose to plant displayed.
I'll have a decko, then rush off an 'Angry from Glasgow' (although I'll have to force the anger, 'cos it's a beautiful flower, whatever it happens to be! Lol.) letter to Tesco.

This latin malarkey was dreamt up by a bod from Sweden or Norway, I believe.
He even changed his own name...translated it into latin...in the 1700's!
I can see the sense of it, however grudgingly, as common names for the same plant differed, wherever you went.
He did the same thing with us & everything else.
Why couldn't he just have gone for a few drinks & a sing-song, in his spare time, like everyone else? ;-)

I bought some of these a few years back. The label said 'Acidanthera' lol...
I take the bulbs in each winter to replant the following spring. One year they flowered late & I didn't wait for the foliage to die off but cut it off instead & last year they didn't flower. I still put them out this spring, no flowers yet but the leaves have grown well. If they don't flower this season I'll just leave them in the ground.

Yeah, live & learn :) I did let the foliage die last fall even though there were no flowers.

Maybe you'll get lucky & the plant will produce even more blooms this year, or next, as it's survival instinct kicks in.
