As the flowers develope they pull the branches down and they have somtimes snapped under the increasing weight. So have to be very carefully hitched up to a central stake.

Lovely Dorjac. Our fuchsias are just coming into flower. I left a couple out to overwinter where they were in the flowerbeds and they survived the winter.

I think that's why mine are so far forward and large Lindak. I usually trim them back a few inches in autumn and then cut right back in March. Never had to do it last winter as they kept on blooming and I couldn't bring myself to cut them down! So they are making a really early show. Happy Wedding is not an easy Fuchsia to keep going,as it is not hardy. This is the only one I put a fleece sleeve over and stood it near the house wall.
