Two Ivies

Janey

By Janey

Two Ivies (Parthenocissus tricuspidata (Boston ivy))

The Ivy and Boston Ivy were planted virtually at the same time. The Ivy has loved the north facing wall and has reached its full height. The colourful Boston Ivy on the other hand has reached about 3ft, and misses the sunshine.

Yes they do Dawn, I forget about the Boston Ivy all winter and most of Spring as it tends to leaf up in May, then I haven't the heart to move it...:o))

The boston may be struggling a bit, but I do love it's more subtle autumn colour.
