I love this picture, they only just fit into the pond.

They do look cute but I hope the people are going to provide them with a decent pond or deeper paddling pool!
I've often though I'd like a goose but I fancy they'd eat more than the grass!

I think that geese are really lovely. Only used to keep chickens so can't help you there Penny. The only think I can say is that they like company so two would be better to keep than one. They do like pecking at the grass but I would think that they would have to have some sort of grain to eat as well. The chickens I kept went out in the day on to the land and came back to a feed and drink of water. They were locked away at night too and had somewhere to roost and nest boxes where they laid their eggs too.
