Praying Mantis detail

They look fierce , don't they , Klahanie ?
I believe that they are harmless though .
We had a green species visit in Singapore , usually when we had visitors from parts of town where there was more habitation , and less insect life , and they used to get quite freaked !

i think i would too bigger than the grasshopper in the fields

The guy is less than 2". The close up photo makes him look fierce but he is not in real life.

The South East Asia specimen was about 5" , I'd say .

I have seen one bigger than this one on the coasT but this a smaller relative.
