Hiding it's nibbled petals under a Laurel bush

I've only got one primrose flower so far this year and that's nibbled too. Is it slugs? I haven't seen any but I can't think what else would be doing it.

Same here Gee ... I investigated and found a couple of small, thin black slugs ... yuk!

Thank you Bloomer they seem to like this shady spot :o)
Probably slugs Gee there are plenty of fallen Beech leaves around the base of the Laurel so the Primrose will be a lighter diet for them!!

I've lots of primroses at the very bottom of the garden. The lawn is like a bath sponge ;D We don't have a pathway so needless to say I haven't been down to have a look - perhaps the weekend...?
